Basketball Game Preview: Syracuse Titans vs. Fremont Silverwolves

Syracuse is on a eight-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Fremont is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Syracuse Titans will host the Fremont Silverwolves at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Syracuse earned a 38-25 win over Davis. The 38-point effort marked the Titans' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Fremont ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past Weber with a 60-55 victory. Given the Silverwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Warriors are ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Syracuse is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Fremont, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.

Syracuse came up short against Fremont when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 51-39. Thankfully for Syracuse, Syncere Langston (who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
