Preview: D'Hanis Cowboys vs. Leakey Eagles
D'Hanis has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Leakey Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
On Friday, D'Hanis made easy work of Cole and carried off a 9-3 victory.
Meanwhile, Leakey can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Medina with a sharp 10-4 win. The victory was just what Leakey needed coming off of a 17-0 loss in their prior game.
Anna (AK) Fortner spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Vivian Guerrero was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenzie Ramirez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
