Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Gets the Win

After losing to Dewey the last time they met, Roosevelt decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cougars managed a 64-60 win over Dewey on Saturday.

Roosevelt pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. As for Dewey, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Roosevelt and Dewey will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Cougars see the court they'll take on Our Lady of Lourdes at 5:45 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Dewey, their break will end when they face Fort Hamilton at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026.
