Juarez-Lincoln saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Valeria Gonzalez, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI. Sarai Gomez was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nixon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Cigarroa on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-4 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Toros: they've now won seven in a row.
Jimena Ibarra made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. Ibarra was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Eliza Gutierrez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ayleen Guadalajara, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Nixon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Nixon's win bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Juarez-Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
