Basketball Game Preview: Viewmont Vikings vs. Northridge Knights

The Viewmont Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Northridge Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Viewmont needed a bit of extra time to put away Woods Cross. They walked away with a 60-53 win over the Wildcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Meanwhile, Northridge suffered their closest loss since February 2, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Box Elder by a score of 70-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (60), the Knights still had to take the loss.

Viewmont has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Northridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

Viewmont lost to Northridge on the road by a decisive 75-60 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Thankfully for Viewmont, Logan Birt (who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
