Baseball Recap: West Fork Victorious

While West Fork didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They skirted past the Jasper Bulldogs 3-2. This was payback for the Gators, who suffered a 7-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

West Fork is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Coming up, West Fork will face off against Carthage at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jasper, they will square off against Center at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Jasper is facing Center at the right time seeing as Center is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
