Baseball Recap: San Pedro Takes a Loss

San Pedro came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Mira Costa Mustangs, falling 14-1. The Pirates have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

San Pedro saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

San Pedro's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Mira Costa, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Looking ahead, San Pedro will square off against Carson at 3:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Mira Costa, they will venture away from home to square off against West at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
