Preview: Kings Knights vs. Winton Woods Warriors
Kings is 7-1 against Winton Woods since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Kings Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Winton Woods Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Kings is ranked 59th, while Winton Woods is ranked 47th).
Kings unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Lebanon 45-39.
Milford typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Winton Woods proved too difficult a challenge. They strolled past the Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 62-47. The win was just what Winton Woods needed coming off of a 57-34 defeat in their prior contest.
Kings' defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5. As for Winton Woods, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Kings ended up a good deal behind Winton Woods in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, losing 39-23. Can Kings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
