Basketball Game Preview: Teays Valley Vikings vs. Grove City Greyhounds

The Teays Valley Vikings will head out to take on the Grove City Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Teays Valley came up short against Circleville and fell 35-22. The contest marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Grove City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They snuck past Dublin Coffman with a 43-39 victory on Saturday. While the Greyhounds didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

This is the second loss in a row for Teays Valley and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for Grove City, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Teays Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Grove City when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 53-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Teays Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
