Basketball Recap: 11 Straight Road Wins for Payson

Payson had won ten straight road games dating back to last season and Emmy Hales did her part to make it 11 on Tuesday. The Payson Lions breezed by the Orem Tigers to the tune of 66-24 thanks in part to Hales, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. Hales is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Kyah Bahr was another key player, putting up six points and eight steals. Those eight steals gave her a new career-high.

Payson's record is now 11-1. As for Orem, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Payson is taking a road trip to face off against Provo at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Provo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.1 points per game this season. As for Orem, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Uintah at 7:00 p.m.
