Basketball Recap: Shawnee Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Gloucester City typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Shawnee proved too difficult a challenge. They managed a 53-48 win over the Gloucester City Lions. The victory was some much needed relief for the Renegades as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Gloucester City still got an impressive performance from Marcus Flagg, who went 6 for 15 en route to 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jake Smith, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points and five boards.

Shawnee's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10. As for Gloucester City, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.

Shawnee will face off against Seneca at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gloucester City, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 50-42 defeat against Haddon Township on the 28th.
