Lake let Carey stack five runs on them in the first inning on Monday but luckily Lake prevailed anyway. The Flyers walked away with a 9-6 win over the Blue Devils. The victory was nothing new for the Flyers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Lake pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Carey, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8.

Coming up, Lake will welcome Rossford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.21 runs per game on average), something the Flyers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Carey, they will square off against Arlington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
