Basketball Recap: Schuylkill Haven Takes a Loss

Schuylkill Haven was the 71-41 winner over Hamburg when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes took a 68-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hamburg Hawks on Monday. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Schuylkill Haven's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Hamburg, they now also have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schuylkill Haven will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Mahanoy Area at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mahanoy Area will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Schuylkill Haven surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hamburg, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Hamburg Hawks face off against the Salisbury Township Falcons at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
