Basketball Game Preview: Sterling Rangers vs. West Brook Bruins

The Sterling Rangers will head out on the road to face off against the West Brook Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Sterling has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while West Brook will arrive with eight straight victories.

Last Friday, Sterling came up short against Nederland and fell 45-35.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Brook). They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 85-18 blowout they got against Lee. The Bruins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

West Brook pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.5 points. As for Sterling, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-16.

Sterling lost to West Brook on the road by a decisive 55-37 margin in their previous matchup back in November of 2020. Can Sterling avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
