Baseball Game Preview: Culver Community Cavaliers vs. Argos Dragons

For the second straight game, Culver Community will face off against Argos. The Cavaliers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Culver Community has given up an average of 12 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Culver Community managed to slip by Argos the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cavaliers came up short against the Dragons on Monday, falling 17-11. On the bright side, the 11- run effort marked the Cavaliers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

For Argos' part, Dominic Burns was incredible, getting on base in three of his six plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Burns a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joel Trump, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Argos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .604. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Argos' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for Culver Community, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
