Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Area Falcons vs. Kirtland Hornets

Having just played yesterday, the Jefferson Area Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Kirtland Hornets at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Jefferson Area didn't have quite enough to beat Madison and fell 51-49. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blue Streaks 14-8 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Kirtland was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 57-53 to Andrews Osborne Academy.

Jefferson Area's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Kirtland, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Jefferson Area took a serious blow against Kirtland in their previous meeting back in February of 2019, falling 86-52. Can Jefferson Area avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
