Soccer Recap: Southridge Triumphs

Southridge pushed their score to eight the last time they played Central, but on Friday they couldn't quite do it again. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Southridge Spartans who were credited with the win. Given their advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Rockets are ranked 485th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which lines up perfectly with their 10-3-1 record this season. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southridge will welcome Hialeah Gardens at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carol City at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
