Basketball Recap: Howe Piles Up the Points Against Central

Howe had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 75-34 win over the Central Tigers. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 28 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Slatey Jo Free, who went 7 of 15 to rack up 18 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadynce Delt, who went 6 for 8 en route to 12 points and four steals.

Howe pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 15-4.

Howe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-57 win against Westville on the 7th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-15 victory against Gans on the 6th.
