Football Game Preview: Kerman Lions vs. Sierra Pacific Golden Bears + How To Watch

The Kerman Lions will face off against the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.

Kerman had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least 31 points, but Kingsburg put an end to it on Friday. The Lions fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 10-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost seven in a row.

Despite the loss, Kerman got top-tier performance from Jorge Antunez, who rushed for 89 yards and one TD on only six carries, and also picked up 60 receiving yards. The Lions also got help from Nate Myers, who showed off his sure hands for 100 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Sierra Pacific fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Selma on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 23-20.

Kerman's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Sierra Pacific, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Kerman took their win against Sierra Pacific in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 42-21 score. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Golden Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
