Football Recap: Grantsville Cowboys vs. North Sanpete Hawks
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grantsville). They blew past the North Sanpete Hawks 52-14 at home on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Cowboys sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Grantsville found their leader in underclassman Dallan Van Vliet, who rushed for 58 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 190 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Jayden Atkinson, who rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Despite the loss, North Sanpete still got an impressive performance from Kash Cook, who rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Cook has posted since back in September of 2023.
Grantsville's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for North Sanpete, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
