            Softball Preview: Sickles Gryphons vs. Blake Yellow Jackets        
        
		
        
        
            The Sickles Gryphons are taking a road trip to  take on the Blake Yellow Jackets  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many  runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Sickles fell victim to Sunlake and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. They lost  7-0 to the Seahawks. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Gryphons in their meetings with the Seahawks: they've now lost three in a row.
 Sickles saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kelsie Meister, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  stolen base.
 Lennard hit Blake with a four-run third inning  on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Yellow Jackets came up short against  the Longhorns, falling  12-1. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Sickles' loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Blake, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Sickles has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.2  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Blake struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 3.1  stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Sickles took their  victory against Blake  in their previous matchup  on April 1st by a conclusive  18-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gryphons since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
