Gibbs hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost 11 straight dating back to last season) but thanks in part to Jade Carter that streak is no more. The Gladiators blew past the Boca Ciega Pirates 3-0 on Thursday for which the team can thank Carter, who had 28 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Gibbs' got stronger as the match went on, holding Boca Ciega to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-16, 25-15.

Gibbs' win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Boca Ciega, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.

As of now, neither Gibbs nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
