Basketball Recap: Southwestern Takes a Loss

Southwestern and Akron squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Southwestern had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 59-30 loss at the hands of the Akron Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 76 points in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Southwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Akron, their victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

As of now, neither Southwestern nor Akron have any future games scheduled.
