Basketball Recap: Mount Desert Island's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Mount Desert Island lost against Orono back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mount Desert Island Trojans fell to the Orono Riots 61-55.

Mount Desert Island's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-4. As for Orono, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-5 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Desert Island will head out to face off against John Bapst Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Orono, they will venture away from home to challenge Presque Isle at 4:30 p.m. on January 18th.
