Gateway is 9-1 against Liberty since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Gateway Panthers will be taking part in a tournament against the Liberty Chargers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Gateway has eight straight wins, Liberty has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

If Gateway beats Liberty with three goals on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Gateway won by a goal and slipped past Osceola 3-2. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Kowboys are ranked 175th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gateway hit Osceola with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Luis Moreno, Thiago Dumont, and Augusto Bustamante.

Meanwhile, Liberty scored the most goals they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wekiva.

Gateway's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four games. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything went Gateway's way against Liberty in their previous matchup back in January, as Gateway made off with an 8-0 win. Does Gateway have another victory up their sleeve, or will Liberty turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
