Volleyball Recap: Lamar Wins Going Away Against Woodland Park + How To Watch

Lamar's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past the Woodland Park Panthers 3-0. The Thunder haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Lamar never let Woodland Park on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 26-24, 25-13.

Among those leading the charge was Kali Gonzales, who had five digs and five aces. Those five aces gave her a new career-high.

Gonzales wasn't the only good server: Lamar was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodland Park only served five aces.

The victory got Lamar back to even at 1-1. As for Woodland Park, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coming up, Lamar will face off against Rye at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Woodland Park, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against SkyView Academy on the 2nd.
