Football Recap: Hanford Falcons vs. Hermiston Bulldogs

Hanford had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 1-5 to make it eight. They were beaten by the Hermiston Bulldogs 47-7. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Hermiston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-5 Sageview and 1-5 Hanford.

Hermiston found their leader in sophomore Brayden Medelez, who rushed for 58 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 163 yards and one TD on only 14 passes. Medelez has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise. A healthy portion of Medelez's aerial production (80 yards to be exact) went to Tanner Wicks.
