Baseball Game Preview: ThunderRidge Grizzlies vs. Mountain Vista Golden Eagles

ThunderRidge hasn't had much luck against Mountain Vista recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Grizzlies will look to defend their home field against the Golden Eagles at 4:15 p.m. ThunderRidge has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

ThunderRidge is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Saturday. They lost 15-0 to Fossil Ridge.

Meanwhile, Mountain Vista didn't have quite enough to beat Douglas County on Friday and fell 5-3. That's two games in a row now that the Golden Eagles have lost by exactly two runs.

Mountain Vista saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Crawford, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Elam Parisis was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Mountain Vista and nudges their season record down to 13-7. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs. As for ThunderRidge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

ThunderRidge skirted past Mountain Vista 10-8 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
