Baseball Recap: Nova Comes Up Short

Nova lost against Pembroke Pines Charter back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Nova Titans fell just short of the Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars by a score of 3-2. The game marked the Titans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Nova saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jose Palencia, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Palencia also put up two hits, which were his first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Nova fell to 6-1. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nova will venture away from home to take on McArthur at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nova is facing McArthur at the right time seeing as McArthur is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they are taking a road trip to square off against Cooper City at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Cooper City's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Pembroke Pines Charter's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
