Baseball Recap: Delmar Falls Short Against Ranked Laurel

Delmar faced Laurel in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-2. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Delmar saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kane Niblett, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Jason Smullen also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Delmar's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Laurel, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.
