Baseball Recap: Beekmantown Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Beekmantown ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Moriah Vikings. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Patrick Hagadorn made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 7.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off ten hits. Hagadorn was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Hagadorn wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Owen Rankin, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Rankin a new career-high.

Beekmantown's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6. As for Moriah, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Beekmantown is set to square off against their familiar foe Ticonderoga at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Moriah will challenge rival Northeastern Clinton at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
