Volleyball Recap: Woodland Cardinals vs. Bernie Mules

Woodland won the last time they faced Bernie, and things went their way on Monday too. The Woodland Cardinals won by a set and slipped past the Bernie Mules 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Woodland was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 28-26, 20-25, 25-22, 15-12.

Woodland was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in ten consecutive games.

Woodland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Kelly on the 23rd. As for Bernie, they are on the road again on Friday to play Campbell.
