Football Game Preview: Charles City Panthers vs. Middlesex Chargers

Charles City is 1-6 against Middlesex since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Panthers will challenge the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Neither Charles City nor Middlesex posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Charles City's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against John Marshall on Friday. They were beaten by the Justices 30-0.

Meanwhile, Middlesex played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against West Point, falling 26-6.

Middlesex's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Charles City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Charles City was taken down by Middlesex 66-28 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Panthers, Jaquan Griffin (who rushed for 358 yards and seven scores while picking up 18.8 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
