Baseball Recap: Dawson Wins Going Away Against South Houston

Dawson never got on the board in their matchup last Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against South Houston on Tuesday. They blew past the Trojans 10-0. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Braydon Hicks tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

On the hitting side, Dawson got a massive performance out of Jack Dyment, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Dyment a new career-high. David Alanis was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Dawson's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for South Houston, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Dawson beat the Trojans by a score of 8-5 on Saturday.
