Softball Recap: Orange Takes a Loss

Orange was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Portola Bulldogs, falling 18-3. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Orange's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Portola, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orange will challenge Calvary Chapel at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Portola, they will welcome Newport Harbor at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Newport Harbor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
