Basketball Recap: Minooka Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Minooka had won two straight games and Madelyn Kiper did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Minooka Indians walked away with a 55-48 win over the Downers Grove South Mustangs thanks in part to Kiper, who posted 20 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Minooka's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenna Delaney, who put up nine points and eight rebounds. Those eight rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Minooka's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-8. As for Downers Grove South, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minooka will venture away from home to square off against Joliet Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Downers Grove South, they will take on Leyden at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
