Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

St. Mary's Academy lost against Glenwood Springs back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats came up short against the Demons, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Mary's Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 25-23.

Luna Sanchez paced St. Mary's Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Sanchez got some help from Hannah Records and her seven assists. Records was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Leading Glenwood Springs to victory were Gianna Zambrano and Kylee Bair. Zambrano had seven digs and four aces, while Bair had four digs and three aces. Those four digs gave Bair a new career-high.

St. Mary's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Glenwood Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

St. Mary's Academy has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Evergreen on the 9th. As for Glenwood Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Aspen on the 9th.
