Football Game Preview: Sangre de Cristo vs. Mancos

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Mancos. They will take on Sangre de Cristo at home at 6:00 PM on Friday. Mancos have yet to lose; Sangre de Cristo, on the other hand, are desperate for their first victory.

Mancos secured a 24-20 W over Del Norte. No one put up better numbers for Mancos than senior Chance Garcia, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 301 yards and 4 touchdowns. In fact, with 13 tackles Garcia was a force on both sides of the ball.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 12-64, which was the final score in Sangre de Cristo's tilt against Dove Creek last Saturday. Sangre de Cristo were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-40.

Mancos were fully in charge the last time the two teams met, breezing past Sangre de Cristo 49-0. Will Mancos repeat their success, or does Sangre de Cristo have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
