Softball Recap: Fairhope's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Fairhope entered their tilt with Spanish Fort on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Toros. This was payback for the Pirates, who suffered an 11-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lily Guimarin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Briley Bolden was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 14 contests.

Fairhope's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Spanish Fort, they moved to 23-6 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Fairhope and Spanish Fort will both be playing Baldwin County the next time they take the field. Spanish Fort will head out to face Baldwin County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Fairhope will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
