Northeast came out on top against Boca Ciega on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run third inning. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Pirates. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Northeast got a massive performance out of Victoria Frye, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Frye has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Makayla Simon, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

The win made it two in a row for Northeast and bumps their season record up to 8-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Boca Ciega, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeast will square off against St. Petersburg at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in the Vikings' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Green Devils have been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road. As for Boca Ciega, they will challenge Pinellas Park at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
