Soccer Recap: Hazel Green Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

After failing to score in their last game, Hazel Green made sure to put some goals up on the board against Mae Jemison on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Jaguars a 10-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Reanna Chapman as she scored three goals for her team.

Sophie Wargo, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Hazel Green squad sat out for Tuesday's matchup. With Wargo sidelined, Natalia White got her first action of the season.

Hazel Green pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Mae Jemison, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hazel Green will square off against Randolph School at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mae Jemison, they will venture away from home to face off against New Hope at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Hope will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Mae Jemison surely won't give up without a fight.
