Softball Recap: Pershing County's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Pershing County's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Pyramid Lake Lakers by a score of 6-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Mustangs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jerzie Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Riley Harvey was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Pershing County's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Pyramid Lake, they dropped their record down to 6-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pershing County beat the Lakers by a score of 13-12 later that day.
