Bolivar put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Monett Cubs 8-6. While the Liberators didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Bolivar's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Monett, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Bolivar has already played their next matchup, an 8-6 victory against Lamar on the 2nd. As for Monett, they will take on Seneca at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
