Baseball Recap: Fayetteville Christian Takes a Loss

Fayetteville Christian fell victim to Village Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 20-0 to the Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-0 two weeks ago.

Fayetteville Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Perusek, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Fayetteville Christian's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Village Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fayetteville Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on The O'Neal School at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Village Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wayne Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
