Football Game Preview: Nordhoff Rangers vs. Carpinteria Warriors + Official Tickets

The Nordhoff Rangers will venture away from home to face off against the Carpinteria Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Nordhoff is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Grace just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 42-28 to the Lancers.

Nordhoff might have lost, but man, Michael Dennie was a machine: he threw for 219 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 122 yards on only six carries. Dennie is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. A healthy portion of Dennie's aerial production (107 yards to be exact) went to Isaiah Giesea, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carpinteria). They claimed a resounding 62-33 victory over Del Sol. Considering the Warriors have won three games by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Carpinteria's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Nordhoff, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.

Nordhoff beat Carpinteria 14-7 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
