Baseball Recap: East Grand Rapids Comes Up Short

East Grand Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 7-1 to the Forest Hills Eastern Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 on Monday.

East Grand Rapids saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Klein, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

East Grand Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 19-6-1. As for Forest Hills Eastern, the win (which was their 22nd in a row) raised their record to 23-1.

While East Grand Rapids had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
