Baseball Game Preview: Skyview Falcons vs. Bozeman Hawks

The Skyview Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Bozeman Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Lockwood hit Skyview with a five-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Falcons took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the LIONS. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bozeman started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Belgrade. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 8-7 on Saturday.

Van Shockley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Luke Zundel, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Skyview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Bozeman, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Skyview skirted past Bozeman 9-7 in their previous meeting back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
