Softball Game Preview: Rittman Indians vs. Springfield Spartans

The Rittman Indians will square off against the Springfield Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Rittman has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 7th.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Rittman's offense. They came up short against Hillsdale on Wednesday, falling 11-0.

Meanwhile, Springfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 10-5 to Field.

Melaena Martin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Volk, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Rittman, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
