Volleyball Recap: Burncoat Takes a Loss

Burncoat lost against Bay Path RVT back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots fell 3-1 to the Minutemen. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Burncoat started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 28-26, 25-17, 25-18.

Jayden Mott paced Burncoat's offense, picking up 19 kills. Mott got some help from Kevin Rojas and his 32 assists. Mott was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

Burncoat's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Bay Path RVT, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burncoat will square off against Doherty Memorial at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Bay Path RVT, they will challenge Worcester Tech at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
