Basketball Recap: Graphics Takes Down Norman Thomas in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Graphics had no trouble coming through when it counted. They enjoyed a cozy 61-42 win over the Norman Thomas Tigers on Thursday. Given Graphics' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th in New York, while Norman Thomas is ranked 423rd in New York), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Norman Thomas lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Abdullah Syllah, who posted 13 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Roger Torres was another key player, putting up five points and six boards.

The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.3 points over those games.
